One of well-known Korean actor and photographer, Park Sang-won, he was born on April 5, 1959 in Daegu, Gyeongsangbuk-do. After graduating from Daegu Suchang Primary School, he moved to Incheon, Gyeonggi-do, and graduated from Incheon Boy’s Middle School and Dongsan Boy’s High School.

His 3rd Solo Exhibition "A Scene" at Songeun Art Space Until 31st July 2020

An actor and photographer, Park Sang-won is currently a professor of Seoul Institute of The Art and he is also an adjunct professor at Kaywon University of Art and design. He is holding a photo exhibition “A Scene” at Songeun Art Space in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, until the 31st  and the earnings from the exhibition will be donated to those suffering from COVID-19 crisis.

Park Sang Won

One of well-known Korean actor and photographer, Park Sang-won, he was born on April 5, 1959 in Daegu, Gyeongsangbuk-do. After graduating from Daegu Suchang Primary School, he moved to Incheon, Gyeonggi-do, and graduated from Incheon Boy’s Middle School and Dongsan Boy’s High School. In 1972, he became a Christian and in 1978, he appeared in the play “Bulmoji” and began an actor. The following year, he went to the Seoul Institute of The Arts  in 1979 and continued his activities with the musical “Jesus Christ Superstar” and the play “Hamlet” in 1979.

In 1980, he was selected as a representative actor for TBC Dongyang Broadcasting. Afterwards, in November 1980, TBC Dongyang Broadcasting was taken over by KBS which is Korea Broadcasting Corporation, he left TBC and became at KBS. After enlisted in the military since 1983, he made his debut in 1986, at the age of 28 and re-appointed to the actor of MBC Cultural Broadcasting.

In 1988, Kim Jong-hak, who was a famous director of drama, looking for the role of Jang Chong-chan, the protagonist of the MBC TV series 《Human Market: ingansijang》, he was casted by him since then he frequently appeared in Kim’s dramas.

He has played a number of different roles in the dramas, mainly intellectual roles. He appeared in 《You and Me》 which was one of the most popular TV dram in our history that had 66.9% of viewer rating. In 1991, he appeared in the movie “Seoul Evita”, but since then has focused on TV dramas rather than movies. Since then, he obtained a master’s and doctorial degree from the Sangmyung University and became a photographer and held his sole exhibitions.
